Afgelopen zaterdag hoorde ik tijdens een terugkomdag van Serena (International School for Inca Shamanism in Kerkdriel) dat vorige week Don Bernardino Quispe Apaza (rechts op de foto) op 86 jarige leeftijd is overleden in Q’ero. Het doet mij groot verdriet om dit hier te melden. Ik heb Don Bernadino in april 2011 leren kennen als een zeer zachte, liefdevolle en warme man. Hij heeft de spirituele lineage van de Q’ero aan de leerlingen in Nederland doorgegeven. We wisten toen al dat hij niet meer terug zou komen, maar niet dat hij binnen een jaar zou overlijden.

Don Bernardino Quispe Apaza
Don Bernardino Quispe was bitten by a poisonous snake when he was approximately 17 years old. As he lingered at the edge of death, many spirits came to him. Although he felt afraid, he soon realized that he was being initiated. He consulted his friend, don Andreas Espinosa, who offered him a coca leaf reading and told him that he had been called to be a healer.
Don Andreas took don Bernardino to the Lord of Qoylloriti three times where he received three different initiations to step upon the path of a healer. During his initiations don Bernardino received the message that he would become a coca leaf reader, a seer, and a pampamesayoq. He offers potent medicine work with and emanates an energy of deep wisdom.
